Exporting Passwords from Google Chrome
- Open Chrome Settings:
- Launch Google Chrome and click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings from the dropdown.
- Access Password Manager:
- Scroll down and click Passwords (or go directly to chrome://settings/passwords in the address bar).
- Export Passwords:
- Under the "Saved Passwords" section, click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to "Saved Passwords."
- Choose Export passwords.
- Confirm the action by clicking Export passwords when prompted (you may need to enter your computer\Remote Desktop Password).
- Save the .csv file to your Home Folder
Note: This file contains sensitive data—store it securely and delete it when no longer needed.
Exporting Bookmarks from Google Chrome
- Open Bookmark Manager:
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Hover over Bookmarks and lists > Select Bookmark manager (or type chrome://bookmarks/ in the address bar).
- Export Bookmarks:
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the Bookmark Manager.
- Select Export bookmarks.
- Choose the location Home Folder to save the .html file and name it as desired.
Tip: The .html file can be imported into Chrome or other browsers later.
