Importing Passwords (CSV) into Microsoft Edge
Edge supports direct importing of passwords from a CSV file, similar to how you exported them. This works for files with columns like "name" (URL), "username", and "password".
- Open Settings:
- Click the three-dot menu (⋯) > Settings (or type edge://settings/ in the address bar).
- Access Passwords:
- Go to Passwords > Saved passwords (or type edge://settings/passwords).
- Import Passwords:
- Click the three-dot menu (⋯) next to "Saved passwords."
- Select Import passwords.
- Click Choose file and select your .csv file.
- Confirm the import when prompted (you may need to enter your Windows PIN or password).
- Edge will process and add the passwords.
Note: The CSV must be properly formatted (e.g., headers: name, username, password). Test with a small file first. For security, delete the CSV after importing.
