Outlook for iPhone — Add a Shared Mailbox

Method 1 — Add it directly in the Outlook app (recommended)

  1. Open the Outlook app

  2. Tap your profile icon in the top‑left

  3. Tap the gear icon (Settings) at the bottom

  4. Tap your main email account

  5. Tap Add Shared Mailbox

  6. Enter the shared mailbox address Example: address@yourdomain.com

  7. Tap Add Shared Mailbox

The shared mailbox will appear automatically in the folder list.

? Outlook for Android — Add a Shared Mailbox

Method 1 — Add it directly in the Outlook app

  1. Open the Outlook app

  2. Tap your profile icon (top‑left)

  3. Tap the gear icon (bottom‑left)

  4. Tap your main email account

  5. Tap Add Shared Mailbox

  6. Enter the shared mailbox address  address@yourdomain.com 

  7. Tap Add Shared Mailbox

It will show up under your main account’s folders.

? Important Notes for Both iPhone & Android

  • The mailbox may take 1–5 minutes to appear after adding

  • If it doesn’t show up, force‑close Outlook and reopen it

? How to Send From the Shared Mailbox (Mobile)

When composing a new email:

  1. Tap From

  2. Choose the shared mailbox address

  3. Send normally

If the shared mailbox doesn’t appear in the From list, permissions are missing.
